Hyaluronic acid was discovered in 1934 and since then it has been used in medicine (ENT, neurology ...) and aesthetics since 1990.
It is a medical device that has a CE mark with traceability.
It is the flagship product for the treatment of aging of the face and body, because it is biodegradable, biocompatible (tolerance tests before injection are not necessary), the side effects are minimal and the immediate results.
INDICATIONS
It can be used as:
- Volumizing product to fill depressions: dark circles, naso-genital fissure scars ...
-Volumizing product to create volumes: cheekbones, lips ...
- Volumizing product at the level of the body: buttocks, calves ...
-Lifting product: face lift, eyebrows ...

SESSION
A preliminary consultation (to discuss usage, to identify and eliminate any contra-indications, to provide an estimate, and to give you information in person and in writing) takes place before the injection.
The area to be treated is disinfected prior to the injection. Injection is done via needle or by micro-cannula.
At the end of the session, the injected zones are massaged with a hydrating cream to give a uniform result.
The following techniques are mainly used :

POST INJECTION ADVICE
Following the injection, you will be given the following written advice :
– Don’t take any anti-inflammatories for 48 hours.
– During the first 48 hours avoid all exposure to strong sun or to intense cold, avoid alcohol, intensive sports and intense activity.

– Do not use a sauna or hammam during the first two days after the treatment.
– Do not vigorously clean the skin for a week.
– Do not use laser treatment on the area treated for a month.
– Do not go to a dentist for a week ( if you have been injected around the mouth ).
Side effects
Side effects are transient, minor and do not require social crowding.
Edema (swelling) is often minimal, more important in the lips and dark circles. He is prevented and treated by taking Solupred and Extranase. It is better to program lip and dark circles injection on Friday.
Blues are rare, more common on thin skin. They are prevented and treated by taking ARNICA 5CH.
In case of history of herpes Aciclovir is given during the injections of the lips to avoid an outbreak of herpes.
Contraindications
Contraindications include :
– Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
– Coagulation problems or taking anticoagulants.
– Auto-immune diseases.
– Unrealistic demands and expectations.
– Lidocaine allergy ( contained in the product ).
– Prior injection of non-degradable products ( the hyaluronic acid injection can awaken a quiescent granuloma ).
– Severe or chronic inflammatory conditions.
– Hepatitis C.
