Aesthetic medicine offers an alternative to aesthetic surgery in the treatment of tear troughs.
The before/after photos shown below illustrate the results of aesthetic treatments for tear troughs using hyaluronic acid injections.
Photos of tear trough treatment using aesthetic medicine
Tear troughs are due to the fall of malar and eye-socket fat, and the absorption of fatty tissue, bone and muscles in this zone. Treatment of the tear trough necessarily involves treating the malar and socket area. Possible treatments include:
– Medical treatment, filling the tear trough with injections of hyaluronic acid
– Surgical treatment, filling the tear trough using lipofilling
– Medical treatment, tackling the tear trough with a medical lift of the malar area
– Surgical treatment, tackling the tear trough with a surgical lift of the malar area
Treating the tear trough with hyaluronic acid injections
Hyaluronic acid is a volumizing gel which allows us to treat hollows.
My approach to caring for this area is a little different from others. I do not aim to excessively fill out a hollow area, which makes the face puffy, overly full and non-natural. The aim is to act on the factors which lead to the tear trough. I carry out a medical lift (using hyaluronic acid) on the malar and socket area, leading to the disappearance of these hollows.
This restores the curvature of the cheekbone, and the upper third of the face, and thanks to this medical lift, the naso-labial folds, bitterness lines and jowls are also improved.
