Laser treatment is effective only for mild and moderate urinary incontinence.
The laser stimulates collagen synthesis, improves the trophicity (thickness and quality) of the vaginal mucosa, its vascularity and elasticity.
We often do 3 sessions at 1 month intervals then one session once a year.
The results are estimated at 4 to 8 weeks after each session but the improvement can continue until 6 months later.
A stop of any local treatment is recommended at least 48 hours before the laser treatment.
We will have verified that you have a gynecological examination (including cervico-vaginal smear) normal dating less than one year and a urine negative examination dating less than 3 days.
The laser handpiece, introduced vaginally, is sterile and disposable. Laser shots are usually very little or not felt. An external passage in the vulvar mucosa is sometimes necessary afterwards.
It is advisable to hang for about ten days baths (bath, pool, sea, jacuzzi ...), local treatments, aggressive cleaners during the toilet, sports and sex for 3-5 days.
Contreindications are :
- The pregnancy.
- Genital or urinary infections in progress. A urine test will be done

No serious adverse events have been reported so far. The treatment can sometimes cause a slight bleeding for 24-48h. An increase in physiological losses can sometimes be observed. A feeling of edema and overheating can be felt for 1 to 3 days.
